Oliver! Postponement

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we are informing you that Oliver! will be POSTPONED until October half-term 2020.
As everybody will undoubtedly be aware, the current global situation with regards to Covid-19 means that businesses, charities and organisations are being required to make drastic changes in order to maintain the public’s health and safety.
As such, the school have understandably restricted access to community groups for the foreseeable future meaning our production would no longer be able to take place.

We are, of course, incredibly disappointed that we are unable to share the joy and escapism of theatre with you at the time when it is probably most needed. Our cast and crew have been working incredibly hard over the last few months to produce something amazing; it is astonishing to see what we have created in such a short space of time. As such, we thought it only right that we don’t cancel the show, but postpone it until a later date.

Oliver! will be replacing our annual pantomime in this special year where we are celebrating our 20th anniversary. We will be working hard over the coming days and weeks to exchange everybody’s tickets to their like-for-like tickets during the October half-term. For example, if you have tickets booked for the front row of the Wednesday performance, we will give you front row tickets for the Wednesday performance in October. If you would like a refund, please e-mail tickets@dragontaletheatregroup.co.uk with your ticket reference number and we will reimburse you as quickly as we can. As you can imagine, this is going to be a big job for our volunteer ticket team so please do have patience as we work to process requests.

Over the coming weeks and months, please stay safe and act sensibly. Prudhoe is a fantastic community of people who work together to help each other in times of need.

This is not a “good-bye” to Oliver! just a “so long, fare-the-well, pip pip cheerio, we’ll be back soon!”
