The group seeks to promote an increase in self-confidence, self-esteem and social interaction through the valuing of all skills and contributions to the group. Skills covered include performance skills; costume production; stage-craft; make-up and wig skills; sound and lighting production; scenery and props production; music support; fund-raising; ticket sales and front of house; administrative tasks and social activities.

Dragon Tale Theatre Group is reliant on its hard-working volunteers who fundraise throughout the year to ensure each that everyone who wants to be a Dragon, can. The production is promoted through NODA (National Operatic and Drama Association www.noda.org.uk) and local press like the Hexham Courant and Newcastle Evening Chronicle. Each year brings its own unique challenges which are met in force by the strength of the Dragon Tale team and the combination of skills it provides.
